Family Medicine

Casper’s healthcare needs are as diverse as our community, and Wyoming Family Practice is ready to serve all of them for every patient. Our extensive services promote you and your family’s health and wellbeing to people of all ages. Our services include women’s health, osteopathic medicine, sports medicine, behavioral health, x-ray and lab, nursing home care and palliative care, geriatric care, internal medicine and medication management, case management, specialty and procedure clinics, patient education and inpatient hospital care.

Women’s health

Our providers offer exceptional women’s health services, focusing on the changing, dynamic needs of our female patients in all cycles of life beginning with adolescence all the way to post-menopausal patients. Our comprehensive services include well-woman exams, cancer screenings, obstetrical care, contraceptive management and outpatient gynecological procedures.

Osteopathic Medicine

Specializing in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM), our doctors of osteopathy use a number of techniques to reduce pain and increase mobility and range of motion, especially following an injury. OMM appointments provide hands-on osteopathic manipulation of bones, muscles and joints, often dramatically improving patients’ quality of life.

Sports Medicine

Sports medicine services include the evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of sports and orthopedic injuries as well as medication management. These evaluations focus on the history of injuries and level of physical activity, as well as an assessment of current range of motion, in order to best diagnose and treat the injury. Routine Sports Physicals are also available.

Behavioral Health

Our onsite behavioralist provides various mental health services that include therapy for anxiety and depression, nursing home care, tobacco cessation, dialectical behavior therapy, individual therapy, and psychiatry consultation.

X-Ray & Ultrasound

The onsite radiologic technologist provides general abdominal, chest and extremities x-rays, including audiometry (hearing), tympanometry (eardrum function measurement) and spirometry (pulmonary function testing).

Laboratory

The onsite lab offers comprehensive laboratory services, chemistry panels, cholesterol testing, STD testing and routine blood work.

Nursing Home Care / Hospice

Our providers offer family medicine services as well as palliative onsite end-of-life care in partnership with local nursing homes and hospice agencies.

Home Visits

Our doctor and case manager team visit elderly and disabled patients in their homes when they are unable to travel to the clinic for care. These visits check for general well-being, which can include blood pressure and oxygen level checks as well as ordering any lab tests necessary.

Case Management

Wyoming Family Practice case managers track mammograms, prenatal patients and assist with nursing home placements. As a patient’s biggest advocate, they offer assistance with Medicaid and Medicare enrollment and find resources for longterm self-help services and other healthcare needs like clothing, food, shelter, medication assistance or oxygen. A case manager’s mission is to empower patients and their families and are an integral part of our charge to provide superior, comprehensive care to all of Casper.

Wyoming Family Practice Pharmacy

Family Pharmacy is the pharmacy located onsite at the Wyoming Family Practice clinic. The experienced pharmacists have an ongoing collaboration with our providers for friendly and expedient service, automated prescription refills and patient assistant programs, all at one convenient location. Family Pharmacy hours are 8am-6pm Monday through Thursday; 8am-5pm on Fridays, or call 307.265.4446.

Patient Education

Empowering each patient to make their own best decisions is our top priority. We provide diabetes testing, treatment and education; tobacco cessation counseling and treatment; pharmacy consultations; resources from the Controlled Substance Initiative and other services and advice from compassionate experts, all of which are designed to make you your own healthcare champion.

DOT Physicals

We have an onsite certified medical examiner that provides comprehensive Department of Transportation physicals, which include eye exams, hearing screenings, lab tests, medication assessments and other necessary tests in compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Procedures

Our list of procedures offered onsite is vast and includes exercise treadmill testing, osteopathic manipulation, vasectomy, endometrial biopsy, joint/trigger point injections, IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal, splinting, and casting, minor orthopedic procedures, minor dermatologic procedures, and point of care ultrasounds.

Specialty Clinics

Specialty clinics include Coumadin, geriatric assessment team, Controlled Substance Initiative and mindfulness-based stress reduction.

Hospital Care

 In addition to caring for Wyoming Family Practice patients, our doctors perform rounds at the Wyoming Medical Center hospital and provide services to Healthcare for the Homeless and Veterans Affairs patients. Our physicians also provide services to community family medicine physician pediatric patients, as well as treat any unassigned patients who may not have a doctor upon admittance to the hospital. Additionally, they provide obstetrical care at Wyoming Medical Center, delivering dozens of babies each year.

Senior Care

We provide compassionate, quality healthcare to thousands of seniors every year at the clinic, in the hospital, at home visits, and in the nursing homes.

Addiction

Services include addiction counseling, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and group therapy.

Gender-affirmation care

Gender-affirmation care refer to treatments that support a transgender or nonbinary person in their gender transition. Transgender people identify with a gender different from the one they were assigned at birth.

Adolescent-friendly health services
